For those new to the sport, those home from the military on leave, or the older generation who may have not speared in years due to physical limitations, the East Central Chapter offers free one off darkhouse spearing clinics and free equipment / darkhouse use.
Maybe you fit into one of those above mentioned groups or maybe you just want to try darkhouse spearing out before you fully invest in the equipment. If that is you or someone you know, feel free to reach out to us and we can help you out. Training, teaching, and introducing new people to the sport of darkhouse fishing is core to our chapters mission. As is taking care of the old timers who have kept the tradition alive before us. Throw us an e-mail with questions, to line up a time to have us show you the ropes in person, or to use one of our fully equipped spearing houses for free. We are more than happy to help out in an informative, educational and non threatening way.
